I have no doubt that BlogRush is a great service which, I'm not afraid to say, is going to succeed in a big way.
Having said that, those who use BlogRush will not necessarily gain much benefits form the program because of their poor understanding of the BlogRush system.
Let me break down what BlogRush does and how to get the maximum value from it.
BlogRush is a a part of a traffic generation strategy but, in order for this tool to work properly, you have to catch the attention of your potential visitors first.
How do I do that?
Briefly, your only secret weapon is the headlines of your posts. Your headline is the first, and perhaps only, impression you make on a prospective reader. Without a headline or post title that turns a browser into a reader, the rest of your words may as well not even exist.
The primary thing you need to do is write COMPELLING 7 WORD HEADLINES (or approximately no more than 40 characters including spaces). This guarantee’s your whole headline will be syndicated in BlogRush’s widget without getting cutoff.
I've seen already several mistakes:
1. Writing long headlines which get cutoff before the topic of the post can be understood.
2. Crafting headlines that doesn't make sense without reading the whole post.
3. Not taking time to write interesting headlines that people care about.
Some advices
My advice that could turn your headline into a "I'VE GOT TO READ THAT" BlogRush headline is to follow this steps:
1. Keep it simple. Don't use "slash" or any word variations of the same thing like "expert/authority" that can get your readers confused and it also takes valuable space that you can use to better describe your post.
2. Write things that sound juicy and entertaining. People are clicking on the BlogRush links because they are goofing off and want to be distracted. So, you can play with that and try to write entertaining headlines.
3. Write all your headlines according to the readers self interest. Let them know that they are REALLY learning something reading your post.
4. Don't lie in your post headline. People will hit the back button of their browser faster than you expect if your post doesn't deliver the promised information, but they will be FAR LESS LIKELY to click on another future headline of yours.
Some other pieces of advice:
* Don’t make your blog’s advertising look like The Strip on Vegas. It pisses people off and keeps them from liking you as they feel you are putting your revenue ahead of your usefulness.
** Don’t offer paid blog reviews. Seriously I can’t understand why people do this. It makes you look like a prostituting beggar who is unable to monetize with something legitimate.
*** Don’t put the Blog Rush widget above your own site’s navigation. If you can’t understand why, you’re beyond my help.
I hope you found this helpful.

Get Free Targeted Traffic To Your Blog With BlogRush
John Reese has launched BlogRush, a blog syndication network on Friday, September 14.
Reese says: "Using RSS technology and some of our own, we’ve built an amazing platform to help bloggers receive “mass distribution” for their content across the Internet. And our system doesn’t spam or abuse the Internet in anyway. And it doesn’t try and ‘game’ Google either."
This is the video presentation:
John Reese, a master mind of the Internet marketing community, wrote on his blog:
“… Tonight We Make History! …”.
His new platform BlogRush - Blog Syndication Network has been launched yersterday morning.
BlogRush, this free service, will help any blogger to generate more targeted traffic and readers for their blog. I already have installed the JavaScript Widget on my blog, as you can see.
When reading about how it actually works, the first association that I had in mind was: “That reminds me on Google™ AdWords/AdSense, but with major differences”:
* The service is free
* The service is much more easy to use
Follow these steps:
- Go to the site www.BlogRush.com
- Watch the video that explains everything
- Sign Up
- Put the Widget on your blog
You could be done with those easy steps in five (5) minutes.
The very interesting aspect of BlogRush is, how you are able to leverage the number of blog readers that you have. John Reese talks about an exponential growth possibility.
Indeed, all sounds very promising, and I urge you to be part of it as soon as possible. You don't have anything to loose. The Network has been launched with beta status, which is kind of normal for a project of this size. They will tune it and tweak it under real world conditions.
Don't wait any longer!
Go to www.BlogRush.com, watch the video, sign up, and tell all your blogger friends.

Protect your AdSense account from accidental clicks (#1)
Are you a Google AdSense publisher? Then you should know that an accidental click on your own ads could mean the difference between life or death of your AdSense account. Google has been known to shutdown accounts by just a few accidental clicks.
How does it work?
The principles are simple:
1. hiding the ads in the browser using a list of URLs that Google AdSense deals with
or
2. simply blocking you from sending any information to Google's ads scripts when clicking on your ads. This second principle requires your AdSense publisher ID in order to decide if an ad is linked with your account. You don't have to worry about any of the URLs I've wrote about, there is a simple way to do that.
So, how do I do it?
There are many programs, browser add-ons and scripts that, once installed, do the job for you and many of them are also free.
At this moment I'm testing a little program that displays an "error" instead of the actual ad once the "Hide Adsense" option is selected. You can select or deselect this option at any time, but you have to restart your browser each time you do that. The main disadvantage is that, when the "Hide Adsense" option is selected, you cannot see any Google ads instead of hiding only your own ads.
I think there are other much more sophisticated programs out there and hopefully free, so, I'm not going to pay for this one. I'm going to use the Trial Version as long as I can until I find some other good and also free program for this simple job. For this one, you can download the Trial Version from here:

What is Google AdSense? (#2)
Google AdSense is a new Google service launched in 2003 in order to expand the advertisements distribution program by making it more accessible to small publishers. Any publisher can apply for an AdSense account in order to display high targeted ads on his websites. There are no strict criteria for acceptance into the AdSense program, unlike the other programs, because there are no minimum traffic requirements on applicants. The only real criteria are the standard "acceptable content" requirements that exists almost everywhere.
Once you are accepted in the program, you can display targeted ads by simply adding a JavaScript piece of code into the pages of any website of yours. According to the AdSense Terms, you are only allowed to place up to three ad units, up to three link units and a maximum of two search boxes on a single page at the same time. But this should be enough for any website that wants to have a clean decent look.
How does the targeting work?
Google AdSense allows anybody with a website that meets Google Terms Of Service to take a little snippet of JavaScript code and place it into the HTML documents in order for Google AdSense to automatically deliver ads that are contextual relevant to whatever the content of the website is. Google uses its search engine ranking system to decide wich advert is relevant to any particular web page on your website. For example, if your site is about web design, you will probably get some ads related to web design, let's say, an Adobe product ad, like Photoshop or Dreamweaver.

The Birth Of A Blog (#1)
The motivation:
I'll start my first article with a story: I was a web designer / web developer working on project for very little money. I've been designing all kinds of uninteresting websites for all kinds of clients. Most of you surely don't even want to know how a five hundred lines of code file looks like...
One day, a friend of mine asked me a simple question: why am I designing such websites for others, getting little money, instead of creating a great website for myself that, in time, could bring me much more than its price. He was saying something about a passive income, but I wasn't convinced because I didn't trust the online advertising companies and, also, the number of unique visitors involved for a decent income was, in my mind, impossible to reach.
I've kept doing that until the day my friend called asking me to design a nice and clean layout for his new website, and guess what: my friend was going to pay me for doing that. I laughed: "Hey, you are never going to get that money back from that website..." and I was very surprised to hear his answer: "I've received my first check from Google yesterday... that's the money I'm spending right now".
The idea:
This time, I've decided to trust my friend about the importance of quality content and, after more than two years of reading about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Google AdSense, I'm ready to drop some of my knowledge on a blog, and, also, on a forum called Web Design and Internet Marketing Forum, at www.forum.zeromedia.ro.
In order to have rich and complete articles, I will try to support them with pictures, movies or anything that I'll find useful for the debated article idea. I will start with a Joel Comm movie related to this topic, a great Internet entrepreneur who has been online for 20 years. I'm sure there will be more like this. Very interesting serie.
